AKARD COMMUTATOR of TENNESSEE (ACT) offers the option of complete material analysis and alloy matching through independent, third party laboratories for the utmost accuracy in reproducing original equipment commutators and/or slip rings. In most cases, standard stock raw materials meet or exceed original design specifications without any, or only minor (ie. brush grade changes) modifications necessary, but for those times when an exact duplication of the original (including back dated materials) is absolutely critical, ACT's exclusive ACTual Analysis SM option is the only way to be certain that the new raw materials are completely compatible with those found in the original unit. ACTual Analysis SM can also be beneficial in determining viability of original raw materials for potential repairs and/or reinsulation services under consideration due to the (often considerable) economic advantages that can be realized through reusing undamaged original materials with ACT's exclusive ACTivated Old Units SM options. ACTual Analysis SM tests are customized to meet your specific material testing requirements. Pricing and Leadtime will be based on the various testing options chosen. Some detailed testing requirements can take several days to perform and can become cost prohibitive on standard type units, so firm quotations can be provided prior to initializing any detailed testing. Most third party laboratories don't maintain the same service commitment to a 24-7-365 schedule that AKARD COMMUTATOR of TENNESSEE (ACT) offers you, but Rush and Overtime options are available for additional charges in most cases. |
